AT&T Ranks Last in Consumer Reports Customer Satisfaction Survey

Filed under: Cell Phones Well, it’s no surprise to us here at Switched that, according to the annual Consumer Reports survey of readers, AT&T is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer satisfaction. The survey (subscription required) covered 50,000 readers in 26 cities and AT&T ranked dead-last in 19 of the 26 markets. While AT&T’s issues with dropped calls, spotty coverage, and achingly slow data in major metropolitan areas like New York and San Francisco are well documented , to hear that even in smaller markets AT&T is struggling to meet the demand placed on its network does not bode well for the company. AllThingsD (and many) lay the blame squarely at the feet of the iPhone : AT&T was simply not equipped to handle the influx of customers and the increase in use of data services.
